Measurement Review For Tomorrow's Test...


You have a measurement test tomorrow. It will include perimeter, area and volume, as well as some conversions (grade 5s). You will be allowed to use your conversion sheet and a calculator. For now, here are some practice quizzes that you can try (use a calculator and conversion sheet.)

Fabs Versus Natural Animals

- What sort of animal do you think this is? (Give both the scientific name and the common name).
- Describe what the animal looks like. If it were a fab, then what creatures could have it been "fabricated" or engineered from?
- Read this fact sheet.
- This animal was not a mammal. What was it?
- How much did adults weigh? How tall was the animal?
- What did they eat?
- Why were they outlawed and hunted?
- Do you believe they are extinct forever? How could they bring them back?
Character Analysis of....

- Height.
- Colour of hair, eyes, skin.
- Build (slim, medium, heavy, muscular?).
- Eyes - intelligent, hawkish, angry, frightening etc...
- Face - does it have a naturally happy look, sad, angry, alert, closed (hard to read).
- How do they move - awkwardly, athletically, gracefully...
- Personality: would you like to be friends with them? Why? Why not?
- Humour: Do they have sense of humour? What is it like? Would they think you were funny? Why or why not?
- Temperament: are they upbeat, lighthearted, or serious and easily offended?
You must use the COPS and complete sentences...Don't answer this in question format; do write it in paragraph format.
