1. She likes to go to OC because she likes to go to the malls across the street and likes to see Jason.
ReplyDelete2. I love spending time with my dad because he lives in Toronto and I don’t see him very much. My best memory is when we went to Wonderland when we visited him in the summer, Wonderland is basically Toronto’s Disneyland, and it was so much fun!
3. Jason is a boy that goes to OC for speech therapy and he is in a wheelchair and uses a communication book to communicate with people.
4. The ways drawing helps Catherine are that she feels calm and collected and is able to just relax.
5. To be on David’s side it means you understand him and support him. People might not want to be on David’s side because he is autistic.
6. It would feel like someone is controlling your words so if you feel something but there is nothing to point to so that you can describe it you can’t say it.
The fears she has around Jason are that she thinks people will judge her for being friends with a boy that is in a wheelchair and that can’t speak.

Good job Shirina-Tallulah
Delete1. One reason is because she likes to go to the store across the street. The other reason is because she likes to draw other customers.
ReplyDelete2. I would have to say Persephone. Our fondest memory was when we went trick or treating on Halloween.
3. Jason is a boy who is in a wheel chair, and he needs a speech book to speak to other people around him.
4. I like to draw too like Catherin, and I play on my tablet for 1 hour every day (except weekends.) But when we go over to my Brother Darcy’s house I play outside with my two nieces Mallory and Everett.
5. Maybe because he is Optimistic.
6. I would feel sad that I couldn’t do what everybody else could.
7. I would probably tell not to be embarrassed because he is in a wheel chair and would your new friend Christy actually say something mean to you or Jason so don’t be afraid of the things that you think are going to happen ok.

1A: One of the reasons Catherine enjoys going to occupational therapy with her mom is because she gets to visit Jason. She also likes to make cards for Jason.
ReplyDelete2A: I enjoy spending Quality time with my best friend Avary .My fondest memory with Avary was her 11th birthday party. We went tubing with our other friends at Mount Washington.
3A: Jason is a handicapped boy who can’t speak. He loves guitars and likes Catherine. He communicates through a speech book, and he goes to speech therapy.
4A: Drawing helps Catherine with her stress at school and in her outside life. I like to take pictures and go shopping or swimming with my best friends on my spare time.
5A: People might not be on David’s side because they don’t think he’s normal. Being on David’s side might be excepting that they might get embarrassed or bulled. Being on David’s side is accepting him for who he is and treating him like a normal human being.
6A: I would feel like I had no privacy. I would be frustrated that I might not have some words I want to use in a conversation. I think I would cry.
7A: I think one of Catherine’s fears when being around Jason is getting looked at. And another reason is not wanting to be the center of attention. I do think her fears are reasonable because she not used to being the center of attention or doesn’t like to be the center of attention. I would try and support her, and I would try to hang out with Jason and Catherine at the same time.

#1 Getting to see Jason and also seeing how happy he is with the new words she made him .
ReplyDelete#2 My dad my fondest memory with him is being able to go on the BC lions football field and having him coach me and my team and leading us to a win I also loved going to the Vancouver Canucks game with him every year but now my whole family goes. Because having him on the field coaching me made all my nerves go away and I felt a rush of encouragement and I stopped the team from getting a touchdown and we won. I loved going to Canucks games with him because it was the one time it was just me and him for one and a half days but now its y whole family but I still love it.
#3 Jason is a young boy who has some disability’s so he has to be in a wheel chair and can’t speak but still is a normal kid and he has a great personality like he loves to get new words for his booklet and he makes it like he’s just a normal kid with no disability’s and even though it’s in a book there is still lots of people who suffer from disability’s like Jason.
#4 It lets her express her feelings and makes her feel free and she can say draw anything she wants and when she’s bored she could just draw. I love to go outside and play football and sports but sometimes I also enjoy playing football on my Xbox but I love playing football in real life more than on a video game console
#5 To be on David’s side you have to understand that he has a disability and he’s still completely normal it’s just he has a few differences than some of us. Some people might not be on his side because they don’t think he’s normal like us but the truth is he is completely normal.
#6 I would feel embarrassed but then again I feel like having people know what mattered to u is kind of good because you don’t have anything to be ashamed of. I would also be a little nervous that people would judge me and if they did I would ignore them and keep on being me.
#7 Catherine has a fear of if she is seen hanging out with Jason people would judge her and not want to be her friend. It’s not really reasonable cause she doesn’t understand that Jason is not different and he just has a disability and if Jason was her and she was Jason she would understand that it hurts to have your friend be ashamed for hanging out with you. I would help her by saying like look just because Jason has a disability doesn’t mean he isn’t normal it just means he has some difficulties in life and that she shouldn’t be ashamed she should be proud.

1. She likes going to occupational therapy because she likes it when it’s just her and her mom so she asks to go to the park and other places. Also because Jason is there.

5. People might not be on David’s because he isn’t like other kids, he is autistic and people might not know that.
6. I would feel a little bit awkward, but then again I probably wouldn’t mind.
7. Maybe she might feel a little bit weird because Jason is in a wheelchair and can’t talk. It is okay and not okay for her to feel this way. A way she can get over her fear is she can maybe talk to someone about it.

1. She likes to draw paraphilia at the clinic, and she likes to see Jason.
ReplyDelete2. My mom like when she made me a jello cake for my birthday.
3. Jason is a severely autistic person who cannot speak and has to have words made before he can say them.
4. Drawing helps Catherine focus on paraphilia. Soccer, throw a football etc.
5. It’s like Ryan & David, David thinks everybody is a friend but he does not know Ryan’s a bully.
6. I would feel frustrated, because if I saw a sheep but I only had a cow in my speaking book it would be annoying.

1. 1.) One reason is that her mother reads her “Harry Potter” while David is at OT.
ReplyDelete2.) The other one is that Catherine like going to the shop across the clinic.
3.) Another one is that it gives her free time to draw and colour.
4.) The third reason is that she gets to make word cards for Jason.
2. I enjoy spending time with my brother, Jay. I like it because he gives me advice, teaches me, does activities with me, and helps me. He’s the only person I can tell my “Feelings” to properly. My fondest memory with him? I have lots. Like that time I went hiking with him and his friend, Jared and scraped my knee. Nice.
3. Jason is a boy that’s crippled. Handicapped, that is. He has some disabilities, so he can’t do anything physical, like running, and jumping. BUT he has a nice sweet wheelchair (with a joy-stick!) that can let him ‘run’. He goes to speech therapy and has to use a communication book. He can’t move properly, so he can barely move his fingers.
4. Drawing helps her by giving her the chance to “express” her emotional feelings. It’s in a way, therapeutic. I do the same thing with music. Whenever I’m getting really emotional, I just sit down on the piano and, whatever comes out of my fingers, makes music.
5. I think Cath’s mom thinks that being on David’s side means that you know he’s autistic and you think they’re gonna treat him the same, but different in a good way. But it’s not. People might not know he’s autistic and if they knew, they’d treat him differently in a bad way, like bullying him and such.
6. I’d feel like all my emotions, secrets, words and feelings would be revealed to everyone. Like I’d just been Skinned. I feel like I’d be plagiarizing off someone and I’d just be using what someone else tells me to do. I wouldn’t have the freedom. Having someone say “Do whatever we tell you to do” would just be unfair and I’d feel like ..A lower life form.
7. I think Catherine feels embarrassed that she’s friends with Jason, maybe even sorry for him. She might think that people around her will criticize her for being friends with a handicapped person. That is a bad reason to be around him. Just because he’s physically crippled doesn’t mean he’s not normal. Jason has, feels, and acts the same way around everyone. He’s maybe even Smarter, who knows. I’d help her by saying “Hey, Everyone’s treating him like a sponge. Don’t you think you’re doing the same?”.

6. I would hate it. You would have to use words that other people made for you. So you would not be able to argue with anyone or tell them you don’t like what they bought him.
7. I think her fears are that she is going to say something wrong or she is going to say something embarrassing and Jason will laugh at her. I think her fears are a bit of both. I would get her to talk to Jason even more than she does now so she feels more comfortable around him.
